The farm is situated in a quiet valley, which is enclosed by an area where deer and wild pigs in the early morning can sometimes be seen.
The farms location is in the Perigord area, right in the heart of the Dordogne, amidst an area where the caves of Lascaux are. These caves, discovered in 1940, contain some of the best-known Upper Paleolithic art. The wall paintings are estimated to be 17,300 years old.
Within a 5 minutes drives you'll be in the lovely town of Le Bugue, on the river Vezere. Here you'll find shops, markets and various wonderful restaurants.
Sarlat, Les Eyzies Perigueux and Bergerac are also close by. Sarlat is without a doubt one of the most attractive and medieval towns of France, founded at around 850 as a refuge when Vikings sailed through the Dordogne.
